The Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus

The Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus

"The Letters" are written to the Church

2 Corinthians 5:21  Paul shares . . . for He hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us  (He) who knew no sin, (in order) that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.  You see, God took the sinless Christ and placed upon Him our sin, and in exchange He took the righteousness of Christ and poured it into us.  By faith declaring us righteous, justified.

We are justified by the blood of Jesus Christ.  The word justified is a legal term which means to declare righteous.  Because of the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ we are declared righteous.  As a friend of mine says, justification means Just as if I had never sinned.

It is the ability to stand before God as if sin had never existed. He who knew no sin, God made to be sin on our behalf.  This gives us the ability to stand before God absolutely free. This gives us the ability to come boldly to His throne of grace in order to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

To stand boldly before the throne of God with no sense of sin, guilt or inferiority.  Cleansed as white as snow by the blood of Jesus Christ.  God declares us righteous, because of the blood of Jesus.

This righteousness is the great key to overcoming sin and sinful habits.

This righteousness removes all inferiority.

This righteousness make us sons and daughters of God.

This righteousness restores our fellowship and gives us peace with God.  This righteousness is by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ. This is what makes us heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ Jesus.

Cleansed by the blood of the Lamb we have the ability to stand in the very presence of God without any sense of guilt, condemnation or inferiority.

And of course, this is Real Freedom!!!

Notes:

"The further we stray from the foundation of Jesus Christ, his redemptive work at Calvary and his word, the more susceptible we are to deception and introspection."  ~ Barney Coombs "Apostles Today" page 33
