A little arrogance and a little ignorance can take a person a long way down the wrong road!!!

Are you in the ditch today?

Jesus said the blind lead the blind and everybody winds up in the ditch. The reason? Just plain old fashioned pride. We all have it and we all must deal with it.

Psalms 25:9 says: "The meek will He guide in judgment: and the meek will He teach His way."

Regarding the religious leaders of the day, Jesus told His disciples simply: "Leave them alone." When the Son of God says: "leave them alone," it is ultimately the worse thing that can happen to a person. You see, "He knows the proud from a far off." In other words, He is distant from the proud.

The real trade mark of the proud is that they look down on others. Others, who are not as smart, not as rich, not as successful . . . need I go on? When we look down upon others, then the Lord knows us from only a distance. If allowed to continue, pride and pride alone can ultimately separate us from God.

Religious pride is the worse bondage of all, because it leads to permanent separation from God.

Repentance is ultimately a humbling of oneself before God and a total dependence upon the grace of God to change us and make us what He intends for us to be. And that is true freedom!
